Design for eight "Sailors" played by the
female chorus in Dick Whittington 1898.
These have copious notes written in
pencil, presumably by the costumier
enquiring what type of shoes, what
material should be used. Possibly this
was a recycled sketch made up for a
production when the designer was not in
evidence.
Because this item is taken from the
collection of the late Mrs Mae Rogers, the copyright and ownership of
this image is, as yet, undecided and we have taken more than our usual
precautions to safeguard this image and its future use. If you would
like to license this image, please contact us and we will make the
necessary arrangements.
