Janette Scott

Miranda in "Little Old King Cole" at the London Palladium. 1961.

The daughter of Dame Thora Hird, Janette Scott was a film and stage actress, who made several films as a child actress, and by 1961 had starred in "The Good Companions", "The Devil's Disciple" and "Happy is the Bride". She appeared as Peter Pan at the Scala Theatre in 1956. She was later to be immortalised in Richard O'Brien's lyrics for "The Rocky Horror Show".."And I got really hot when I saw Janette Scott fight a Triffid that spits poison and kills", a reference to her starring role in "The Day Of The Triffids".
